We’re delighted you’ve discovered our site. Beachfarer was founded by Jacob Greenhow in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Initially, it began as a side project to delve into web development and offered a way to explore the world’s beaches virtually when travel was not an option.

Our mission at Beachfarer is to showcase the beauty and diversity of beaches across the globe. You’ll find particularly extensive content on beaches in the United Kingdom and Australia, this is because Jacob was born in the UK and now lives in Australia. The UK might not be the first place you think of for beaches, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what a country, often associated with wet weather, has to offer.
