The reason to visit McWay Beach is McWay Falls. It’s only a short walk from the carpark to the viewpoint which offers an amazing view. At high tide the beach disappears and the falls cascades straight into the water. Low tide reveals the inaccessible beach. The beach can only be accessed by sea so don’t plan to walk the beach if you drive to this great viewpoint.
